If you'd like to have a private meeting with the Adjudicator, this is where you should go! The Adjudicator is available at almost all hours of the day; just knock and he'll answer.
Comments are screened for privacy; no eavesdropping, that's rude.
[Good to see you, Terumi, he'd wondered if you were going to show up here.
Juri seems to have changed his clothes a bit from the execution; he's still wearing the usual jeans, but the black shirt has been replaced with a red one. Perhaps more noticeably, both the slash on his face and the impromptu tracheotomy that Rideaux gave him seem to have healed completely since he's come back from the pit. There aren't any signs that his skin was cut open at all, really - not even any scars or marks where the injuries might have healed over.
He seems pretty energetic, either way; probably not surprising, after all that, though once in a while he still kind of runs his fingers over that area low on his throat where Rideaux's scalpel sank in.]
[ Someone's apron dress (and everything, really) is absolutely covered in glitter when they come in after knocking, hello friend. Ahem-hem-hem. ]
Hi~! Your birthday's this week! [ ...thanks for deciding that. ] I just wanted to remind you! Ooh, and to ask a few things, of course!
[ Does she ever come in here without questions? Not really. They're questions that are absolutely not going to get anything more than a shrugging answer, probably, buuuut she's had good luck so far! Mostly! ]
Juri's still wearing the usual jeans, but with the red button-up he wears sometimes instead of the usual black. Perhaps more noticeably, both the slash on his face and the impromptu tracheotomy that Rideaux gave him seem to have healed completely since he's come back from the pit. There aren't any signs that his skin was cut open at all, really - not even any scars or marks where the injuries might have healed over.
Once in a while he still kind of runs his fingers over that area low on his throat where Rideaux's scalpel sank in; otherwise...well, looks like the cards are back - he's got two decks of them, looks like he's playing Diplomat judging by all the columns, though he'll glance up when she comes in.]
Well, I haven't stopped you yet, have I? What's on your mind?
She's... not sure if she actually wants to do this, but... she'll gingerly knock on Juri's door, because it's not just for her, she... she wants Katniss to be alright, and if nothing actually happened, then...]

...There's also a white stuffed cat sitting on his desk with a red ribbon around its neck, but that's neither here nor there.]
[Hey, Cilan; from the sound of it, he's not opposed to your presence, so come in at your leisure. The office is pretty nice, all done up in wood and leather; Juri's looking...slightly less presentable than the office is, given the usual jeans and unkempt hair, though he's replaced the black button-up with a red one. He's sitting at the desk with a couple of decks of cards, playing some sort of game with himself - Diplomat, from the looks of all the columns - and there's a small white stuffed cat sitting on the desk nearby with a red ribbon around its neck; perhaps most noticeably, though both the slash on his face and the impromptu tracheotomy that Rideaux gave him seem to have healed completely since he's come back from the pit. [Knock knock. Weekly visit! Naoto is bringing coffee again. The cups are on top of a large box she's carrying. She manages to balance it all enough to knock on the door]
Good morning, Juri-san. Are you in mood for a conversation?
[Oh, hey, Naoto - Juri's definitely in here, and it looks like he's been playing with some stuff from the sewing room today; more out of boredom than anything, though he'll shove whatever he's been working on in his desk once she comes in. He doesn't seem bothered to have been caught messing with...whatever he was messing with, but he's not too willing to leave it on full display, either.
Besides, conversation is probably more interesting. Probably.
It's notable, though, that he seems to have healed up from what Rideaux did to him down in the put - the slash on his face and the place he was stabbed in the throat are cleared up entirely, no scars or visible injuries remaining.]
[He seems pretty okay today, all things considered, though he's putting...something inside one of those desk drawers when Inigo comes in; he sounds awake, though, and whatever injuries Rideaux inflicted on him in the pit have actually healed up entirely - the slash on his face and the impromptu tracheotomy in his throat have left no indication that they were even there, no scars or anything. So there's that.]
[She's in again on Tuesday, opting once more for the morning hours. Maybe it's easier facing him at these hours, rather than at night. For once, she seems to be in a better mood -- not happy to see him, per say, but she shows no signs of having to temper her anger.]
Adjudicator? [We are probably enemies. So let's stick with the title.] I have more questions for you, if you have time.
[After all, it doesn't seem like he's doing too much else; he's currently sitting at the desk fiddling around with...something in his hands, it looks like a little wooden toy animal of some sort. The kind with articulated limbs that you can move a bit? Yeah.]
If it's something I can't or won't tell you, I'll let you know. But I'm not going to stop you from asking.
[ So. Tuesday! Tuesday. Two weeks exactly after the birthday question.
It's a few hours after he's made his little announcement, enough to ensure that most people have left the foyer and left him alone for a decent amount of time so Aligula can enter unnoticed and no one's at risk of getting jealous over their secret party business. She's in her party dress once more, except it's accessorized with a black feather boa—not that that matches, but it's not like she seems to care that much either. It's cute and partyriffic!
...Much like the mega frosted cake she's carrying; there's cute swirls and things like that on it, and there's plenty of the whipped cream frosting to hide the fact it might be more than a little cracked and a bit overdone in... pretty much everything, honestly, and she'll at least wait for him to clear a space before she sets it on his desk!
And then, of course, the card. It's a glittery mess that gets offered to him right after—she said they were gonna celebrate, and they're gonna, dammit. Even if she can't decorate his office the way she wants to. ...and yes, she's humming the birthday song the entire time this is happening, thank you for asking. She'll only stop to talk— ]
Happy birthdaaaay~! Sorry there's no candles, I totally couldn't find any of the little ones they usually put on cakes!
[There is no reaction to this that isn't just "...jesus christ", is there.
When she comes in, he's just sitting behind the desk idly messing with something; it looks like a small wooden toy cat, with little articulated limbs and everything. There are also a pair of stuffed cats sitting on the shelves beside the desk; one is white with a red ribbon around his neck, one is brown with a white ribbon. His card decks are also up there, along with a board for European solitaire.
...Looks like he's been keeping himself preoccupied with plenty of idle activities, anyway; he'll take the card when it's offered, setting the little wooden thing down before he does so. Good lord, glitter and cake everywhere, though at least he'll move things out of the way to accommodate the latter.]
It's...that's fine.
[...What the hell does he do with any of this. Other than kind of stare at everything. Jesus.]
[Come in if you're going to, AZ, he certainly doesn't mind.
He seems to have recovered...incredibly well from the incident in the pit last week, with no visible injuries or anything where the scalpels had hit him and torn his skin open; there aren't even any scars. For the time being he's just sitting behind the desk idly messing with something; it looks like a small wooden toy cat, with little articulated limbs and everything. There are also a pair of stuffed cats sitting on the shelves beside the desk; one is white with a red ribbon around his neck, one is brown with a white ribbon. There are also a few decks of cards up there, and a board for European solitaire.

[ So while the meeting wasn't incredibly productive, Chitoge was never really all that concerned with that; from start to finish, today has been focused almost entirely on this crapshoot of a plan, one that she's not even entirely sure will work. The idea is a bit of a simple one; all he has do is eat the brownies, and, hypothetically, he should croak. Simple as that. But still, there are way too many variables here. What if he doesn't eat them? What if he does eat them? What if the dosage isn't enough, or for some inhuman ridiculous reason, it is, and he stays alive? Then what?
She tries not to think about that part. If nothing else, she figures, she can probably sell her role. She pretended to be in a relationship for three years, she was Juliet in the school play; she should be able to do this. And according to the pharmacology textbook she was reading earlier (the toxicology section, more specifically), this much cyanide should be enough to do pretty much anyone in.
So, when she approaches the door late at night (she has to make this quick, or Angel will probably worry), it's with her tin-foil brownies in hand. That sheet of paper it was sporting during the trial is gone now; she had made absolutely sure no one had even so much as lifted the foil. It seems fairly innocuous now, so, let's just try not to botch the process of passing them off and, well, hope for the best.
It's literally a matter of life and death here. His, or hers. Maybe neither, maybe both..?
[Seems the office isn't...entirely soundproofed; it's definitely dampened, but not as absolutely silent as the dorms.

...The desk itself is also covered in glitter today for some reason, because of course it is.]

[Naoto hadn't planned to return until next week, but the poisoning attempt that happened was something she couldn't exactly ignore. A couple hours after Chitoge's death, she goes to the office. She doesn't knock, but talks loudly enough from the outside to be heard by him]
Are you feeling okay, Juri-san? Cyanide poisoning is a quite delicate diagnosis. It'd be unfortunate if it got any worse.
[Of course the detective would know how to recognize a death by cyanide poisoning and its symptoms when the person is alive.
This is partly born of concern for everyone - who knows what could happen if Juri died, it may not be good if the Adjudicator is gone - and partly because poisoning someone isn't kosher and someone needs to keep an eye on the Adjudicator. Naoto supposes not many would be willing to keep him alive]
[You get an hour or two to collect yourself, Juri, because Ferid isn't making himself suspicious by going in any sooner. When he does come in, there's another cat being placed on the desk. It's orange colored this time, with a black ribbon around its neck.
Unlike the other times, though, he's declining to speak just yet. There's a little smugness to his smile.]
[Juri's got his head down when Ferid comes in, propped up against his arms where they're folded on the desk; he just watches as he sets that cat down, though he seems slightly amused by the...everything going on, let's put it that way.]
[So. That sure was a thing that happened with Chitoge, but Isaac's reason for visiting at ungoldly o'clock in the morning on Thursday actually doesn't have anything to do with that.
(He has a lot of thoughts on that and none of them are good, but ultimately he can't blame Juri for it? If someone had tried to kill him, he would have retaliated in a similar way, and that's partially why Mallick's death is still fucking him up—)
Anyway, Isaac doesn't bother knocking, he just lets himself in and shuts the door behind him. There's no hesitation when he approaches and he drops something on the desk (not in the way of anything Juri's doing because he's not that much of an asshole). It's a military file and it's already opened to the page with Isaac's picture clipped to it.]
I've got some questions for you. About this and the weird dreams we've been having.
[He doesn't sound angry or upset, just sort of blank.]
[Well, Juri is awake, at least, and looking less rough than he was before; it's taken him almost a day to recover, but he's. functioning. His breathing is decidedly more even and less labored, and that unnatural flush from earlier seems to be gone; he's got a couple of decks of cards out on the desk in front of him and it looks like he's playing a game of some sort, though it's a bit difficult to tell what. Either way, he's turning cards over idly when Isaac comes in, and he only glances briefly at the file before returning his attention to the game.]
I can't guarantee I'll have answers for you, but I'm not going to stop you from asking.
[Well, she hasn't had reason to meet him yet, but... now's as good a time as any.
Angel knocks quietly, trying very hard to clear as much negative emotion as she can from her voice. She's good at that. Just like talking to the Vault Hunters.]
[Hey, Angel; from the sound of it, he's not opposed to your presence, so come in at your leisure. The office is pretty nice, all done up in wood and leather; Juri's looking...slightly less presentable than the office is, given the usual jeans and unkempt hair. He's sitting at the desk with a couple of decks of cards, playing some sort of game with himself (Diplomat, from the looks of all the columns) and he's got a few stuffed cats on the shelves near his desk with little ribbons tied in bows around their necks - white with a red ribbon, brown with white ribbon, orange with black, all kind of congregated together up there.
He still doesn't seem like he's feeling too great after the whole poisoning thing; his breathing is still a little labored, though most of the unnatural flush has gone away, but at the very least the card game seems to have his attention and he seems less listless and unfocused.]

[ Yuri's not sure why he shows up, but at some point he made a break away from others. He stares at the door, like it was the den into hell itself, and gives it a knock. He's always been pretty curious about the office and maybe if the guy's still injured, he's not actually in his office and he could snoop around?
Immediately after the knock, he jiggles the door handle to see if Juri left it unlocked out of carelessness or if for once Yuri's got a spot of good luck. He mutters: ]
[ Well. They've got a shooting range, and Katniss is pissed as hell at Juri still (shocking), so she's got one of the bows and quivers of arrows with her as she makes her way to the office.
Katniss also has a piece of paper in her hand. She sticks it to the tip of the arrow, notches it, takes aim. She lets out a breath, and lets her arrow fly. It lands with a thunk right at the center of the door. For a moment, Katniss considers turning and leaving, but hell. She wants to see his reaction.
For the record, the words on the paper are written in thick black marker: IF WE BURN, YOU BURN WITH US. ]
[He'll open the door after a moment - odd, perhaps, given that he usually just kind of yells vaguely through it, telling people to enter and all, but perhaps he's expecting someone; either way, he'll take a look at the door, and a look at the note, and then a look at the girl, and honestly? He doesn't seem too off-put.
...Still a little pale from yesterday, because whatever Archie did to him seems to have done a number, but otherwise? Back to the usual level of strange apathy.]
It's cute that you guys are trying to piss me off. Bad idea, if you ask me.
[He still sounds a bit out of it and he's looking a little pale from yesterday's...everything when she comes in, but he's seeming okay in general; he's got a board from the game room out in front of him, and he's messing around with European solitaire when she comes in.]
The office looks as it usually does, and it looks like Juri is back to playing European solitaire again; he's got a pair of stuffed cats up on the shelves, white and orange, and he's generally just kind of looking a little pale and listless when you come in.
...Of course, the pun is going to get his attention, and he'll look up once it's out there.]
...That was horrible, I'm actually kinda impressed.
[As usual, here's Naoto! There's the coffee, too. She's getting used to talking to Juri at least once per week, but now she isn't coming just with a professional interest]
Juri-san, why don't you tell me about your world...the world we're in right now? What kind of place is this?
He seems pretty okay for the time being, perhaps surprisingly given all the poison and...whatever Archie felt the need to do this past weekend; he seems pretty calm, if a bit quiet - he's seeming a bit more lost in thought than usual, though his focus seems to come back a bit when Naoto enters.
He doesn't seem wary of the coffee, anyway, so at least that's a good thing. Probably. He'll shrug a bit as he accepts it.]
Depends on what you want to know about it, exactly.
[Siiince it's been decided, today, that they're going to have... a meeting tomorrow and a pool party Wednesday, Ferid naturally has something to talk to the Adjudicator about.
... Of course, he's going to set down his newest gift: A calico cat with a green ribbon tied around its neck. It was obviously originally white, but there's been black and orange splotches drawn onto it with markers.]
May I request a room as well, for our next reward?
[... He hasn't even heard this week's bonus but he knows someone's gonna take it anyway.]
There's another thing, one that's more pressing time-wise, but I'd like to get this out of the way.
[He'll accept it readily enough; it seems that he's recovered from whatever Archie did to him, and while he doesn't seem in better spirits after everything that's happened, he does seem decidedly more focused and certain of what he's doing today. It's hard to say what's changed, exactly, but apparently something has.
...Well, whatever it was, it wasn't the liking for playing with small stuffed things while he talks; he'll just be messing with that cat for the foreseeable future, don't mind him. It'll probably join the other two Ferid's made on the shelves near his desk once he's done with it.
He'll take care to not smudge the marker.]
Depends on what it is. I'll hear the request, anyway.
