PRIVATE MEETINGS

If you'd like to have a private meeting with the Adjudicator, this is where you should go! The Adjudicator is available at almost all hours of the day; just knock and he'll answer.

Comments are screened for privacy; no eavesdropping, that's rude.

[ Okay, this is not what he expected. Maybe.

Yuri's going to be taking in the sight for memory's sake because obviously this is important. Granted he's nothing like a detective or an investigator, but he does try his best where it counts. Also, the cats are adorable-- and the rest of the stuff makes him come to the idea that Juri likes to play games. Which would not be surprising, he thinks, considering...

The thought left to the side, Yuri decides to go through the drawers now that he finds that they're unlocked. He'll be looking for any papers with information on them of some kind, or maybe some other type of strange object that Juri might've just shoved in there. ]

[ Yuri will just look closer at the drawings for a moment, because when investigating things people are supposed to examine everything, right?

Following that, he'll pick up the batting from that last drawer, and squint at it too. He might unroll it by accident and try to roll it back up. Smooth. ]

[ That probably makes him sober up a little. He doesn't know why Juri would take so much interest in the dead, though. Is it because Juri really does eat souls?!

... Okay, probably not-- but then there's Juri's calm voice cutting on through and he stands up straight. For some reason he hides the batting behind his back, before he realizes that's ridiculous and just. Sets it down back into the drawer. ]

Yeah. A lot of fun until you walked in.

[ PAUSE... ]

So, this is awkward. How much trouble am I in exactly?

Right, rule four. I remember that one.

[ He rubs the back of his head, recalling the rules list vaguely. Then he just moves to stand nearby the bookcase, and now that he thinks about it, he's got a question to ask the guy. He doubts he'll get something satisfactory, but-- ]

... So, why're you drawing pictures of the dead anyways?

Is it out of boredom, or...

[ He was probably reaching for a book, and the words caught him afterwards to look back at the guy, a little perturbed.

Disrespectful? Yuri thought Juri derived some sort of secret amusement from this and, well. ]

... Even if you didn't know them? Even if they tried to kill you?

[ ... ]

So you just have respect for the dead in general?

[ This is definitely not lining up with some things he assumed about the man. It makes him want to ask a few more questions-- but he doesn't know how to ask any "good" ones. ]

... Yeah, they do.

[ Yuri made sure he'd never forget those who died either, but once again this is still a surprising revelation for him. Nooot that he's still happy with Juri, considering. ]

So I guess I was wrong about you hating us and enjoying every second of this whole thing, huh?

...Right.

[ He weighs every bit of the man's words-- and of course he decidedly doesn't very much like his answer. He's not in the mood to linger here in his presence for long, either. ]

Well, I wasn't sure what I was expecting. Maybe it's a good thing you're so honest so I'll know what I'm dealing with.

[ He'll be moving towards the door... and well, probably by default nearby Juri because he's probably still leaning against the doorframe? ]
