I've got some idea, yeah. It's not too important overall, though. Why?

It's mostly curiosity. Coins keep appearing in my room, so I use them to try to obtain my own stuff. I'm aware some of our possessions are in that machine.

[Naoto opens the box and tilts it, making sure to keep her distance. She doesn't want Juri to take anything without her authorization. She shows Juri the contents. Look all this trash! Tumbleweed, an ukelele, a rose in a test tube, old underwear, energy drink...

...and a pink makeup compact. Naoto watches Juri, trying to see if he gives any signs of recognizing it]

[That...it's hard to say whether he recognizes it or not, because the reaction he has isn't vehement; at the outset, he just looks like he's trying to work out where it came from - it clearly strikes him differently than the rest of the things in there, but he doesn't seem to be terribly forthcoming as to exactly how so.]

...Where did you get that?

[Well, it's a start, accompanied by a vague gesture toward the compact.]

That's not the one from the machine. Where...?

[Excellent! Naoto does a subdued expression of surprise and curiosity, taking the compact]

It was given to me. I have been exchanging items and giving away others. The person who had obtained this didn't have any use for makeup, so it was given to me. She said it had come from the vending machine.

[Naoto examines the compact all over as if this were the first time she's examining it. She opens it]

That explains why it's so used. If it isn't something that's supposed to be a common item from the machine then perhaps...it belongs to someone else, like Jean-san or Aligula-san? I'm aware our possessions are stashed in the machine as well.

[It's fortunate Naoto has enough of a poker face to play dumb, but she's actually a bit nervous about all this]

No, it's not that. I think it's...

[He's quiet for a moment; he seems a little disturbed, and he's still kind of staring at the compact rather than Naoto. He'll shake it off after a moment, though; he doesn't seem inclined to finish that thought.]

...I don't know. Maybe it is Aligula's.

[Bingo. Juri knows something. However...since he then said it may belong to Aligula it seems he doesn't want to talk about it. Or he can't. At least there was more progress. Naoto closes the box and puts it on the floor]

I'll make sure to ask her about it later. Leaving that aside...

[Since there was progress and Juri being on edge isn't convenient, may as well try to appease him with small talk]

I didn't know sewing was a hobby of yours, Juri-san.

[Yep, she noticed something when she entered but wasn't able to see what it was, exactly.

It kind of isn't, but I have to do something to keep myself occupied during downtime. That's about as good as anything else.

[He seems to like the topic better, at least, in that he's seeming slightly less wigged out.]

If you need materials or anything from the outside I could bring it to you. No one will protest, except maybe Aligula-san, but I can deal with her.

[Hey, now that she mentions that overwhelming old woman...]

That reminds me: Aligula-san may come and ask you to take part of some sort of fashion pageant. I'm sure she'll do it at some point during the week. [It'd be very surprising if she didn't!]

Not really one for parties in general. People have actually invited me to all of the ones you guys have had so far; I just don't really have any interest in going.
