PRIVATE MEETINGS

If you'd like to have a private meeting with the Adjudicator, this is where you should go! The Adjudicator is available at almost all hours of the day; just knock and he'll answer.

Comments are screened for privacy; no eavesdropping, that's rude.

Surprise Post-Retaliation Visit

[Naoto hadn't planned to return until next week, but the poisoning attempt that happened was something she couldn't exactly ignore. A couple hours after Chitoge's death, she goes to the office. She doesn't knock, but talks loudly enough from the outside to be heard by him]

Are you feeling okay, Juri-san? Cyanide poisoning is a quite delicate diagnosis. It'd be unfortunate if it got any worse.

[Of course the detective would know how to recognize a death by cyanide poisoning and its symptoms when the person is alive.

This is partly born of concern for everyone - who knows what could happen if Juri died, it may not be good if the Adjudicator is gone - and partly because poisoning someone isn't kosher and someone needs to keep an eye on the Adjudicator. Naoto supposes not many would be willing to keep him alive]

[Naoto slowly opens the door but doesn't come in, she stays at the doorway. She'll try to see if the Adjudicator is looking better than he did during the retaliation]

I don't mean to take much of your time, I merely wanted to make sure you were okay. You do seem rather sturdy, if I may say. Not many would survive a cyanide poisoning attempt, or Rideaux-san's attack last Friday.

[Even if Juri died surely the game wouldn't end. He would continue his duty, turning undead by the power of his professionalism. Despair ensues.

Still, it's a bit hard not to tell the smallest amount of pity when Juri is like that over his desk]

Kirisaki-san was an idiot. I'm not happy about her death, but she acted very imprudently. While you're not completely innocent, it's also quite obvious doing something like killing you won't be of any help, and many don't realize it. That's frustrating!

[Righteous indignation, there! Naoto calms down]

...at least it's my belief you're not to hold responsible over the most despicable aspects of this game. I'm assuming I'm right.

[You may be a horrible person because you're handling a murdergame, but you're not irredemable!]

It won't help in any way. There are other ways to deal with all this. Harming you won't ever be the solution.

[Naoto starts closing the door. Since Juri is fine, the time for visits is kind of over]

I guess this means bringing coffee when I come is out of question, though. You have reasons to be wary of food brought by anyone.
