Any particular reason, or do you just do better at night?

It's the best time for getting in dance practice, and I tend to focus better at night.

[andexecutioner]

That's fair. I've known a lot of people who are like that, actually.

[passional]

What about yourself? Do you get more things done during the night?

[ By now he's finished setting up the pieces on the board, so he'll ask: ]

Do you want white or black?

[andexecutioner]

Black.

[Second move, but he doesn't mind that in the least.]

And I've never really thought about it. I get things done when I need to; the stuff I do is kind of a 24-hour job.

[ Inigo considers his options for a moment, and then makes the first move in this game we're handwaving. He's decent at this, but super great. ]

What do you do when you're not sitting here in your office?

I'm one of those people that doesn't have a lot of downtime. I've got this going on, but I've got other duties to see to once in a while. Sometimes a lot of them, sometimes not so many if you guys are keeping me busy. It depends.

[high-quality chess-game, right here. juri's actually not fantastic at it, so...]

This place is actually pretty huge, all things considered.

[ ...at...least they're doing their best?? or at least inigo is, he wants the satisfaction of having beaten juri at something. ]

How huge are we talking? Bigger than a palace?

[andexecutioner]

Yeah. At least, I'm pretty sure. I don't spend a lot of time in palaces and all.

[passional]

...Will another area open up after the next trial? Assuming we don't mess up and die.

[ Were he in front of the others, he'd probably try to sound optimistic by saying "if we have another trial" but he's not even going to bother in front of Juri. He has no image to maintain in here. ]

Assuming you don't mess up and die, yeah.

It's a pretty easy pattern to stick to.

...Hey, if you wouldn't mind, could you provide me with copies of the profiles in the foyer? I'd like to add the photos of the deceased to the memorial I set up.

[andexecutioner]

I don't see why not, sure.

[He's quiet for a moment once that's out there, though. Thinking.]

Are you just really big on remembering the dead?

[passional]

Yeah, I am. [ He's quiet for a few seconds, his hand hovering over one of his rooks. ]

I think they deserve that much. Forgetting them would be disrespectful.

[He'll actually look up at Inigo while he's deliberating; his gaze shifts at the rest of that response, though, refocusing on the board.]

Yeah. Yeah, I think so too.

[passional]

[ Inigo was just about to pick up the rook and move it when that gets him to pause. ]

...Really?

Yeah. I'm not going to go on about keeping people alive in your memories or something, because I don't believe in that. But you remember the people that are important to you. The reasons why they're important vary, but the point is the same.
