If you'd like to have a private meeting with the Adjudicator, this is where you should go! The Adjudicator is available at almost all hours of the day; just knock and he'll answer.
Comments are screened for privacy; no eavesdropping, that's rude.
[When he answers, his words are definitely dampened by the closed door but not inaudible - seems this place isn't as...utterly soundproofed as the bedrooms are, at least.]
You can enter.
[The room he's inviting Brady into is more of an office than anything, all done up in wood and leather and generally well-kept, with shelves lining the walls and a large desk at the center. The Adjudicator himself is sitting at the desk and...managing to look completely out of place in here, given everything. He's dressed a bit more presentably than he usually is - black pants and a white button-up replacing the usual denim and black; he's got a deck of cards from the game room with him in here, red-backed and bright against the wood of his desk.
Well, some of the cards are, anyway. Looks like he's playing Solitaire in here to pass the time.]
[Well, the first thought in Brady's mind is this place is swanky. Not that he thought it wouldn't be, it just takes him aback, and naturally, doesn't really fit with the image of the very casual guy he saw on the first day. Or the executioner at the trial. Still very casual here, but, well, Brady is the one in the tank top and board-shorts, so he's not exactly one to talk.
Closing the door after him, Brady more shuffles than walks in, trying to keep his flipflops from clop cloping against his feet.]
Sooo, this is where you hang. ...Solitaire, not surprising. Uh, hi, Juri. You're looking... [less murderous than the last time i saw you] relaxed.
[Listen..... Just because some of us are used to magical soul-pulling hands.....
He clears his throat.] Aw, you know, uh... 'sides the first day and the trial I haven't really gotten to talk to you yet? And, I dunno, some people say it's kinda worthwhile.
[Is there a seat? Can he sit or does he have to stand?]
[There is, in fact, a seat. Go ahead and take it, he doesn't mind.]
Whatever you want; I'm not going to stop you from asking. I mean, I can't guarantee that I'll answer everything, but if I can't or won't answer something I'll let you know.
Oh. Huh, that's good. Not, like, an underachiever. [...but he doesn't really want to be an overachiever because that kind of reminds him of-] Anyway. ...I was kinda wondering, if...Sayaka or Mallick talked to you. Last week.
I just wanted to know, you like... I bet everything's all, confidential, right? But, if they had any...I don't know. Last wishes. Or things they might've vented that sounded like that? It's a dumb question, I know, but... [One of his legs is consistently bouncing.] Can't ask them now.
Okay. Just wanted to make sure, you know. I know...Sayaka had some stuff going on back home and, like... I don't wanna assume anything, how to deal with it. [He should stop talking on this subject, but-] I told her we'd like, help explain when we got out? So people don't think she just disappeared or ran away and, I'd still like to do that, if I can.
[If I can get there or if I get out. Which does he mean? After a moment, Brady waves a hand, dismissing it all.]
Ahhh, but if you don't know, you don't know, so. That's alright, maybe one of the others heard something.
I knew the basics about them, like I know the basics about all the rest of you guys. But I never talked to her about anything. She didn't like me much.
Uh-huh, you're...an overseer. So, you're here to...watch over us as this whole thing goes on, and... What? D'you have something you really want from this...game?
That so? [...] You said...back the first day, there were other ways to play besides breaking Rule 1, if we did that, if we didn't have another trial, would that be a surprising thing?
[His leg's still bouncing. It's a weird situation, so he glances at the cards. How's Juri doing at Solitaire?]
Never quite like this, but I've done some things that are close.
[Another flip of those cards while he speaks.]
Whether they'll kill or not is one thing. But people will almost always do what they think is going to benefit them in some way or another. And for a lot of them, that involves throwing each other under a bus or five.

I'm not going to bite your head off or anything.
[Or rip your soul out, apparently. Either way, his attention drops back to the cards.]
Something on your mind, or you just coming in to say hello?

Maybe a question or two.

Seems reasonable, dude. Aight. Uhh... Oh, man. Am I the last one to come and talk to you? Has everyone else done it so far?
[...Why is this your first question...]

No, they didn't. Why?
no subject
no subject
...It's not a dumb question.
[And that's quiet, too, though he doesn't look up from what he's doing. Flip. Flip. Flip.]
I didn't hear anything like that from them, though.

...Unless they're, uh. Ferid or Aligula. [why is hot or not]

I've got some things that I'm looking for. Nothing that I want, exactly, but maybe you guys will surprise me.

[His leg's still bouncing. It's a weird situation, so he glances at the cards. How's Juri doing at Solitaire?]
no subject
It would be, yeah. Most people go for it eventually.
no subject
Most people kill? Or...go for breaking that rule? That sounds like you've done this before.
no subject
[Another flip of those cards while he speaks.]

It's just how people work.
no subject
...We could still find another way to play this. Get out as many as we can.
no subject
You can try.
no subject
Somehow, I think...when Aligula said you're fun to talk to, she had a different kind of conversation topic in mind.
no subject
She's... Yeah.
For what it's worth, I don't know what to do with her, either.
