[...well, you know, it's the late afternoon on Monday, she's gone through things... and there's one thing she's pretty curious about.

...so she'll gingerly knock on the Adjudicator's door and maybe fidget a bit. Should she... open the door, too? She doesn't go for it yet, but if there's no answer...]

[...Well, that's. Vaguely more polite than some others probably are gonna be. So.]

...Go ahead and come in.

[Oh, well, then. She'll walk in and look around, perhaps a little hesitantly...]

Um... good afternoon, Juri. How's your day been so far?

[...because why not start this out normally. She can't help but looking a little nervous, but she's trying to put her best foot forward here.]

[Seems he's slightly more presentably-dressed today - white shirt, black pants, as opposed to the jeans from yesterday - but his hair is still unkempt as hell and he's managing to look completely out of place in the office he's currently occupying; the room is large and well-kept, all done up in wood and leather, with shelves lining the walls and a large desk at the center.

The immediate answer to her question is, from the look of it, "boring" - he's leaning back in that chair and staring at the ceiling when she enters, though he'll at least tip his head down and look at her properly when she comes in.]

It hasn't been too bad.

You guys all seem to be settling in all right.

Well... you could say that.

[She looks at the shelves to see if he's got anything he likes on there. Maybe the toys? Or... maybe the cat? She'd actually be happy to see something living here that isn't human --- or at least, well, a cute, friendly animal.]

I'm having a little bit of trouble getting used to the... stuff I'm not used to, I guess. ...maybe that's not the best way to put it, but I'm sure you get my meaning.

[Nothing of the sort for now, unfortunately.]

Like the technology stuff, right?

Yeah, that'd be it. I'm sure I can get used to them eventually, but it's still a little intimidating, you know?

Though, that reminds me of what I wanted to know here.

Your meat and produce... it's amazing! Where are you getting it all? I'm pretty sure it's not right out of the ground, but... it's definitely really fresh and really good.

Well, that gets him to laugh a bit, at least, even if it seems a little unexpected.]

Secret of the trade. Maybe I'll end up telling you sometime, if you guys end up being here for the long haul.

Oh, I should've expected that. Well, I'll have to wait patiently and see how things turn out, won't I?

And yeah, I definitely like it! There's just so much of it, and it's just kind of there, you know?

...I guess I'm not too sure how I feel about that last part, since I'm used to working for my food and I like that. But it's definitely making me want to see if I can ever get my stuff as good as this.

Huh. I've never really had to work for it like that, actually, so I wouldn't know. Never really been part of my job.

[andneversaydie]

...no offense, Juri, but I could kind of tell. If you wanted to try it, I'd probably recommend starting with something small and easy and working your way up.

Well, yeah. Plus, I figure if you knew anything about it, you'd be out doing that and not here doing this.

That sort of thing's never really interested me, though. I've known a few people who like it, but it's not my thing.

Do you know 'em from home, then? Or... did you work with them?

I guess it's kind of the same thing, usually, but that's just my experience.

More like I met them for a little while. It was kind of a huge part of their lives, so I got to hear about it while they were around.

I didn't really work with them, though, or get to know them all that well.

Actually... how long have you been doing this? Is it kind of a new thing, or is it just... your regular job?

[andexecutioner]

This is actually my first time doing it like this. My usual job is similar, but not the same - this is more complicated than what I'm used to, and in some ways it's more messed up.

[andneversaydie]

Oh, I see... So is the murder one of the ways it's more messed up, then? Or are there other things we haven't gotten to yet...?

[andexecutioner]

The murder's pretty commonplace, actually.
