Sixth Week

[Things are back to normal in the weekly conversation session, it seems. Naoto has come by with the usual coffee, and looks like she has many things in her mind. She appraises Juri with curiosity]

I believe I haven't asked yet what was the fate of the survivors of past murdergames, Juri-san. Are you aware of what happened to them?

Yes, I suppose you're not the type to be in contact with past participants. I doubt they'd want to stay near this lodge.

...and since people died, I'd be correct on thinking you have dealt with their... [Werid glowy energy] ...life energy, wouldn't I? Even from those who were murdered instead of executed.

Do you still have their life energy with you?

[Her latest theory is that Juri is meant to serve as some kind of container and no more, it's just another part of his duty as the overseer]

I noticed Yang-san got resurrected for a moment. Does that mean that...if we all somehow manage to win the game...

[That's the main reason why Naoto wasn't offended at the execution. The moment she saw Yang move she felt some hope, and a possible way for everything to end well]

...would you be capable of resurrecting everyone who died?

[Well that's a disappointment]

Of course. Nothing can be easy in a place like this.

[Sigh]

...Juri-san, I'm curious about something: why did you beat up Yang-san like that? Usually you don't do something like that unless you're attacked first.

[Naoto has her theories, but she really wants to hear from Juri about that]

[Ooooh, someone has feeliiiiing!]

I guess you're right about that. It was a shock to see it, though. It seemed rather...personal, if I may use that word.

[His reaction had been rather subdued. Clearly this makes Juri a bit uncomfortable. Now that she thinks about it...it doesn't matter that much. Better have a smidgen of consideration, UNLIKE A CERTAIN SOMEONE WHO IS IN THIS OFFICE TOO]

I'll change topics now, if this is bothering you. Tell me, do you or anyone else have access to the rooms before they open?

In the Workshop, shortly after it opened, I found tools that showed a considerable amount of use. It was rather unusual, especially since everything else in the new rooms that open each week seem to be largely untouched.

[Have a meaningful stare!]

You do seem to have an interest in manual work, at least in the sewing department. Does that extend to woodcarving too?

So it was you! You used those tools.

[At least that's the logical conclusion now. But how to confirm it? There's only one way]

Can I...can I see your work?

[Okay, she's curious in a personal level too. Wordcarving is a dying art, it'd be neat to see someone's work]

Aligula-san?

[Huh! That's a surprise, Naoto never suspected he could be making a gift for anyone]

She isn't a picky person. I'm sure what you're making will be a nice surprise for her.

[But it all is making Naoto even more curious, too!]
