I don't like pointless things, and I don't like aimless things. If there's some sort of purpose behind something, then it's not completely boring - I like figuring stuff out, I like figuring people out.

It's disappointing when everything is straightforward and superficial. That's boring to me.

What do you get out of this, exactly? Payment? Power? I'm only curious, lovely host of mine, considering I would run this simply to kill some time. I might even do as you do and live among everyone. It's easy to hate those they don't see, after all.

I like giving them a person to focus all their anger on; it's harder to do it blindly when you can get to know them, sure, but seeing how people treat their captors is an interesting pastime for me.

It's not something I'm doing out of boredom, though. What I get out of it doesn't really matter, but it's not boredom. I'm closer to you than I am to them in a lot of ways, but I'm not really like you, either.

Twenty-five years is a rough guess at my age. Not how long I've been needed. That one's harder to keep track of.
