Week 4 Tues after incentive

Yo. [ Here's your favorite jerk here to bug you again, Juri. He sounds more muted than he usually does though, weird.]

Hey.

[Hi there, Terumi. Come in if you want, he's not going to stop you.

He's got a veritable...fucking collection of stuffed cats hanging out on his shelves because thanks, Ferid, but otherwise the office hasn't changed much; Juri seems like he's fully recovered after all the poison and the...whatever Archie did during the execution, and he's got the decks of playing cards out again, though he doesn't seem to be playing a proper game - it actually looks closer to what Mack does with them sometimes, the whole not-tarot thing.]

Something on your mind, or just coming by to say hello?

That's a hell of a lot of cats. [ Terumi actually does not like cats, but it is a very long story. He grins a bit at the question, but then settles into a more neutral smile.]

Have to hand it to you for that incentive, it's a lot better than the last ones were, but I'm not here to talk about that. Those "dreams" though, they're not really dreams, are they? [ The first sentence almost sounds like a compliment but not quite, because the incentive does actually bother him-- but in his case it's immensely more complicated. Still the more pressing issue is what he dreamt, and he would have been here sooner were it not for all the things he needed to work out in his head.]

[A few people seem to not like cats. Not that Juri understands why, because cats are objectively better than people.

That said, he doesn't look up from the cards as Terumi speaks to him; the first sentence gets a soft noncommittal noise out of him, but the second...hm.]

Yeah, it seems that way. A few people have asked me about them.

It's not often I have my memories messed with. Unless you're going to tell me it's something else? [ It was one of his perks of being who he was, and why he and Rachel hated each other so much. Them and a few others were the ones who were protected from the constant rewrite and deletion of timelines.

The statement is still a theory, but one he's almost entirely sure is true after he's spent the past few days working out the logic and possibilities. Helps too, when you have the memories of countless failed timelines in your head.]
